AN OUTLINE OF THE HISTORY WRITING OF SZÉKESFEHÉRVÁR

The gazette rivalled the other society weekly paper, called the Székesfejérvár which was published on 6 ,h April 1871, but it did not prove viable due to financial difficulties. His first book came out in 1872 in Székesfehérvár, it was titled Költemények (Poems). In 1876 he published a nation-wide collection with Sándor Vutkovitc, the register of Hungarian Writers. The work came out in Bratislava. In 1878 he married the Fehérvár-born Nina Czeitler, who, like her husband, was primarily interested in literature. The local papers (Szabadság, Székesfejérvári Hírlap, Fejérmegyei Napló) published several of her poems. He was elected honorary counsellor 27 th March 1899. Due to his ill health, the chief archivist retired on 25 th November 1907. He died on 8 th July 1919 in Székesfehérvár. 7 Is it Székesfejérvár or Székesfehérvár? He at­tended the senior classes of the Cistercian grammar school and left it in 1870. He studied law at the university of Pest, but in the meantime ( 16 September 1872) he was appointed deputy clerk officer. In November 1877 he became municipal attorney of Fejér county; the same year he was appointed deputy clerk, later he became the assessor to the orp­hans' court. From 1871 he supported the idea of establishing an archae­ological collection of the county. Between 1 873 and 1876 he edited the weekly paper called Székesfejérvár, later he was the secretary of the His­torical and Archaeological Society of Fejér county Székesfehérvár; he also edited the almanac of the society (I. 1885. and II. 1893.). 1 1 A Historical Outline of Moha Village.
