SZELETEK/SLICES, 2003 Fotográfus / Photographer: Mauricio Alejo művészeti projekt / art project Mauricio Alejo fotó- és videóművész Mexico Cityben született 1969-ben. Fotóin és videóin a szobrászat természetét, vizualitással való kapcsolatát kutatja. 2002-ben egy Fulbright ösztöndíjnak köszönhetően MA fokozatot szerzett a New York Egyetemen. Munkáit több fórumon és múzeumban is kiállította: Havana Biennial, Trienal Poli/Gráfica de San Juan (Puerto Rico), Museo Rutino Tamayo, Mexico City, Museo Nációnál Centro de Arte Reina Sofia, Madrid, CCA Wattis Institute for Contemporary Arts, San Francisco, California. Többek között a The New York Foundation for the Arts díjazottja. Munkái több magán- és közgyűjteményben is megtalálhatóak (Daros Latinomérica Collection, Zurich; Art Museum of the Americas Washington, Museo Universitario de Ciencias у Arte, MUAC, Mexico City, Isabel and Agustin Coppel Collection) Legutóbb a Space-ben, a Prix Pictect Prize 2017 kiadványában szerepelt. Munkásságát többek között olyan művészeti magazinokban méltatták, mint az Art in America, a Flash Art és a Modern Painters. Mauricio Alejo - Photo and Video Artist - was born in Mexico City in 1969. Through photography and video, his work explores the nature of sculpture and its relationship with the visual experience. He received a Master in Arts from New York University (2000-2002) with the support of a Fulbright Scholarship. His work has been exhibited at Havana Biennial, the Trienal Poli/Gráfica de San Juan (Puerto Rico), the Museo Rufino Tamayo in Mexico City, the Museo Nációnál Centro de Arte Reina Sofia, Madrid, and the CCA Wattis Institute for Contemporary Arts in San Francisco, California. He has been the recipient of The New York Foundation for the Arts grant, among many others. His works are part of several public and private collections such as the Daros Latinomérica Collection in Zurich; the Art Museum of the Americas in Washington, D.C.; the Museo Universitario de Ciencias у Arte, MUAC in Mexico City; and the Isabel and Agustin Coppel Collection. Recently his work was included in Space, the publication of the Prix Pictect Prize 2017.
