Hí Kotyogó jellegű kávégép alumíniumból, MMKM Coffee machine of the Moka („Cluck") type of aluminium, MMKM heating and all kinds of electric household appliances such as electric kitchen ranges and electric boilers. The program of electrifying households was difficult to carry out as in 1920 electricity was installed in 58% of Budapest flats, and countrywide in 25% of the households only, where it was used at least for lighting. Electricity was, for the majority of households, too expensive. Elekthermax was also nationalized after WW2, and transferred to Pápa in 1952. At that time their main products were: electrical household ovens and cookers, among them also coffee machines, electric household heating devices, electric ovens and cookers for large kitchens (of canteens or catering establishments), water heaters, boilers and industrial equipment such as ovens/furnaces or welding apparatuses. From 1958 on they produced floor polishing machines, refrigerators, vacuum cleaners (hoovers) and lamps. In the 1970s Elekthermax was member of a big joint company but in 1981 it regained its independence. From the mid-1980s they developed a "family" of household dishwashers. By the end of the 1980s it turned out that international relations would not very well be based on the purchase of licences. Thus Elekthermax was looking for real partners, thus e. g. the production of kitchen grills was started in co-operation with Siemens, and deep fryers, kitchen ranges as well as ribbed radiators (for heating) were manufactured in co-operation as well. We must sadly take notice of the fact that - although Elekthermax survived the first decade of the 21 s t century - the household branch had been discontinued some months before the appearance of this book. From the 1980s on the aluminium machines were gradually replaced by machines containing ever more plastic coating elements and parts. The successful domestic manufacturer of these is the Szarvas Share Company for the iron and Metal Industry. The firm was founded in 1952 as an industrial co-operative. It gained Szarvasi kávégépek a 2 1. század elejéről, F&K gyűjtemény Coffee machines from the Szarvas plant, early 21 s' century, F&K collection 111
