Among the subcontractors there were bush manu­facturers, chromium plating workshops, firms preparing the bakelite parts as well as rubber manufacturers. In many cases Simon himself made the tools for the manufacturers. The bakelite-pressing tools provided with electric heating and the tools for preparing the rubber rings were also property of the workshop. Every coffee machine manufactured by Imre Simon had a number, and the master followed the fate of the machines. Imre Simon had dealt with manufacturing coffee machines before opening his workshop. His professional partner had been his brother-in-law Dezső Stern who, later, brought into being a major coffee-machine producing plant in Vienna. Both partners specialized in high-pressure coffee machines. The Atomic machine was first presented at Budapest International Fair in 1947. Later, however, Simon was no more allowed to appear at the fairs. In 1947 Qualital and Imre Simon had jointly presented their products.
