Károly Engel founded his "Factory of electric installation material and appliances" in 1880. The later owner of the factory was mechanical engineer Dr. Pál Holitscher. At the beginning of the 20 t h century you can find, in the offer of the factory, coffee-machines on tripods as well as a Turkish coffee-making device. The latter was made of copper with tin lining. The 200-W heating was located in the jacket of the machine. The machine of 2 dl volume had a handle of polished wood. Qualital Elektro kávéfőző, F&K gyűjtemény, Qualital „Elektro" coffee machine, F&K collection The "Non plus ultra" coffee machine was manufactured in 3 sizes, for 3, 6 and 12 persons, respectively. The bigger machines could be used for preparing coffee for fewer persons as well, as the filter bottom of the coffee container was adjustable. The machine was equipped with a glass lid, an outlet tap and a handle. The biggest variant had a performance of 400 Щ and a volume of 2.4 litres. In the "Mokka coffee set" the "Non plus ultra" coffee machine was sold together with coffee cups and a tray. The metal cups had ground glass linings. 105
