95. Cooks at work, the 1970 s stimulated the company's rapid and significant development from 1960 onwards. Meeting international standards became expected both at the railway and on ships: the Vienna-Budapest route was launched. Domestic coach services also came under the authority of Catering Company. The company introduced a new service: prepacked cookies and sandwiches prepared at the company's kitchens and bakeries were made available for passengers, which became very popular. Catering Company became completely independent of the railway on 1 January 1968.
