A „Bains Vigier" nevű hajó középső részét portikusz díszítette, és igényes használói köre miatt rotundával is rendelkezett. Diderot precisely described in his Encyclopaedic the threestoried establishment which was run by Poitevin. Aboard the ship there were bathing cabins with tubs supplied with preheated water and a direct exit to the Seine River. From architectural point of view, Poitevins bathing ship was a simple one, but some years later the decorations became more and more important. A famous ship, the "Bains Vigier" already had a portico in the middle and a rotunda as the owners of the ship took into account the needs of their wealthy guests.
