Fürdők – Fürdőhelyek, Magyarország fürdőépítészete (Budapest, 2008)

CARL HALLER VON HALLERSTEIN, PLAN OF A BATHHOUSE, AROUND 1800 Around 1800, Friedrich Gilly and its "Group of Young Architects" applied with a new idea. They intended to make a plan for a coffeehouse and a bathhouse in a "tent," located in Spree, the Zoo district. Among the several different plans, Friedrich Schinkel and Carl Haller's layouts were saved. The latter resembled for an antique church with its square shape and the entrance was emphasized with two Doric columns. Inside there was a rectangle shaped pool with two rooms on its sides set up with hot water. The plan could be one of the private baths' layouts but Gilly took this task as a design plan for public baths. This plus was enough for Haller von Hallerstein to get the idea of connecting the bathhouse to the "tent". JOHANN AUGUST HEYNE: PIHENŐHELY ÉS FÜRDŐHÁZ TERVE 1800 KÖRÜL Grohmann Ideenmagazin (Ötletújság) című kiadványában nem kevesebb, mint hat, magánparkokban elhelyezett, különféle építészeti stílusú fürdőházat mutatott be. Az egzotikus ihletésű példák mellett akad egy ókori építészeti hatást mutató fürdőház is, amelyet Johann August Heyne tervezett. A központi fürdőtér és az ezt körülvevő kiszolgáló helyiségek mellett pihenőtér is van, a hátsó homlokzat négyoszlopos portikusza a fürdőtér és a természet között teremt kapcsolatot.
