Fürdők – Fürdőhelyek, Magyarország fürdőépítészete (Budapest, 2008)

A makett anyaga lehet speciális kartonpapír, vékony rétegelt lemez, vagy PVC. A kartonpapír és a PVC semleges felületet ad, fa felülettel vakolt felület hatását lehet elérni. Az anyaghasználat és a formanyelv - egy makett színes belső világát és egy gipszből formált tájképet leszámítva - nagyon visszafogott. A makettek fotóit Joachim Heyer és Boris Miklautsch készítette az Intézet fotóműhelyében. A makettek plasztikusságát és belső tereinek minőségét a fényképezés lehetőségeivel kívánták erősíteni. A felvételeken a makettek kis fényforrásokkal és tükröződő üvegfelületekkel megvilágítva váltak költőivé. A munkacsoport tagjai: Dr. Max Stemshorn építész, a kiállítás rendezője, Dr. Susanne Grötz és dr. Ursula Quecke művészettörténészek, az előtanulmányok irányítói, Stuttgarti Egyetem, Építész- és Várostervező Kar, Ábrázoló és Formaismereti Intézet, Prof. dr. Erwin Herzberger, Martin Hechinger, Joachim Heyer, Boris Miklautsch, a kivitelezés elméleti és gyakorlati szakmai vezetői és a művészi installáció munkatársai. PROF. DR. ERWIN HERZBERGER CONCEPT AND PRESENTATION OF THE ARCHITECTURAL MODELS The architectural models of the Balnea exhibitions were made by the students of the Faculty of Architecture and Civic Design of the University of Stuttgart between 1999 and 2008. The leaders of the project were Martin Hechinger (model maker) and Prof. Dr. Erwin Herzberger. Usually the whole model making process has 3 different parts. With the guidance of the scientific literature and the database of early historical pictures and scientific research they draw the right scale layouts. The model makers examine the layouts, the sections and the drawings from different sights. On the grounds of the earlier sketches a simple, paper model (sample) is made on which the model makers can easily test their insecurities and doubts. The exact details and materials are determined after as we decide on the sample the manner of the later exhibition. The main goals of these architectural models are to show not only the results of the explorations of the historical architecture but to make these results understandable for the visitors. There are several prospects we would like to show on this exhibition: • the model as it had been in the original environment • the model as a stage picture • the model with an open or half-opened roof
