ü7 Cuisine on television Cooking has become common on television and most channels have their own cooking programme. The presenters - whether a master chefs, media star or businessman - have a role in shaping public tastes, which is an important responsibility. International stars have had an influence on Hungarian programmes, too, either in the form of licensed shows or the copying of tricks or recipes. Commercial television quickly realised the potential of curious characters improvising on the screen. In 2004 the first exclusively culinary television was launched, called TV Paprika.
