György Székely déals with the problems of special catalogues in libraries of the­atrical science and drafts an alphabetical subject catalogue and a method of classification, which seem to suit better the requirements of these libraries, than the Decimal Classificat­ion System. Three articles deal with the theory of theatrica^ art. The article written by József Szekeres /Methods of Theatro­graphy/ tackles the difficult task of taking down and regist­ering accurately a theatrical production. - Andrea H. Teschler tries to coordinate literary and theatrical dramaturgy /Drama­analysis in theatrieal science/. Tivadar Kovács describes the right and wrong artistic methods of reciting poetry Aradition and recital/. In the same part of the year-book, Béla Taródi Nagy describes the methods of the science of the functioning of theatre, while György Székely deals with the technical problems of theatrical productions and its principles /The number of technical staff in theatre and its consequences/. The second part of the year-book is entitled History of the Theatr e. Four different articles are presented here, which lead us to different historical periods of Hungarian theatre and at the same time represent different methods of research. Tekla Dömötör proves, that already at the middle of the sixteent century, there had been in Hungary a lively in­terest for dramatic genres. - Edit Császár /Mrs. Madyusz/ des­cribes the first STifty years of staging in Hungary. - Katalin Földes /Mrs. Kiss/ and Mihály Cenner give account of two big collections bequested to the National Historical Museum of Hungarian Theatre.
