RAPORT PRIVIND CONSERVAREA A DOUĂ SCOARŢE POPULARE SECUIEŞTI

Rezumat

în colecţia de textile a Muzeului Secuiesc al Ciucului se păstrează 89 scoarţe populare secuieşti, de o valoare deosebită etnografică şi istorică.

Bursa obţinută în 2009 de la Fondul Cultural Naţional din Ungaria a făcut posibilă studierea stării de conservare, respectiv începerea unui proiect privind păstrarea şi conservarea scoarţelor. Activitatea de conservare vine în ajutorul restaurării, organizării de expoziţii, respectiv a muncii de cercetare. într-o primă fază, au fost conservate scoarţele aflate într-o stare de conservare precară, cele păstrate sub numărul de inventar 388 şi 389.

Scopul conservării a fost stabilizarea stării obiectelor deformate, murdărite, slăbite şi rupte. în timpul conservării, în urma curăţirii, îndreptării formei, scoarţele s-au netezit, au primit o înfăţişare unitară.

în urma conservării, am obţinut un rezultat corespunzător atât din punct de vedere estetic, cât şi al stabilităţii stării obiectelor. Prin depozitarea corespunzătoare se poate preveni degradarea scoarţelor conservate.

THE CONSERVATION OF TWO S2EKLER „PAINTY” CARPETS

Abstract

In the textiles collection of the Szekler Museum of Ciuc there are 89 painty carpets from the 19-20th century that are very significant from the ethnographic and the historic point

of view.

Thanks to the support of the Hungarian National Cultural Fund (NKA) in 2009 we were able to do a survey in the collection for the first time, and started a long term conservation on the carpets. This will ease any restoration work or exhibition in the future, and it will help the work of researchers. Taking into consideration the results of the survey, we have chosen for conservation the two carpets that were in the worst state, with inventory numbers 388 and 389, respectively.

The purpose of the conservation was to stabilize the deformed, tainted, weak and broken, torn artefacts. After conservation and cleansing, the deformed and tainted carpets evened out and showed a uniform image. Supporting and conserving the carpets, we achieved proper results both in stability and aesthetics. Storing them properly, future contaminations and injuries of the artefacts may be avoided.
