Rezumat

Balul culesului strugurilor este un eveniment important şi tradiţional în comunitatea hostatiană din Cluj (Kolozsvár). Lucrarea prezintă schimbările petrecute sub influenţa transformării societăţii şi modernizării condiţiilor de viaţă ale comunităţii în desfăşurarea tradiţională a balului, şi interpreteză codurile simbolice importante, legate de acest obicei: spaţiul şi timpul, participanţi şi roluri, texte, obiecte şi coduri vizual-acustice.

THE VINTAGE BALL OF THE HÓSTÁT COMMUNITY FROM KOLOZSVÁR

Abstract

The vintage ball has always been a special ceremony and traditional event for the Hostat community for many generations. It is an event through which people celebrate the grape harvest and it is also an occasion for meeting and having fun. Because of urbanization and the changes which occured in transportation the whole ceremony has changed throughout the years. The current paper analyzes these changes and also tries to interpret the different codes and symbols of the celebration: the significance of place and time, people and different roles, texts, objects, visual and acoustic codes.
