ŞCOALA PROFESIONALĂ DE UCENICI DIN CRISTURU-SECUIESC Rezumat Şcoala Profesională Mixtă de Ucenici din Cristuru Secuiesc (Székelykeresztúr) a fost desfiinţată în 1951 după o funcţionare de 67 de ani. La desfiinţarea şcolii, materialele documentare au fost predate Biroului de Repartizare a Forţelor de Muncă din Odorheiu-Secuiesc (Székelyudvarhely), care le-a inventariat. în 1961, aceste documente au intrat în evidenţa Arhivelor Statului din Miercurea Ciuc (Csíkszereda). Materialul arhivistic constă din matricole şcolare din anii 1884-1899, cataloage şcolare din perioada 1899-1916, 1923-24, 1940-1951. O mare parte a materialului documentar al şcolii, reprezentată de numeroase scrisori oficiale, procese-verbale şi documente contabile, a rămas în posesia Muzeului „Molnár István” înfiinţat în 1946, unde se află şi azi. Prezentul studiu, pe baza acestui material arhivistic, analizează activitatea şcolii, de la înfiinţarea ei în 1884 până în anul 1899. A fost o şcoală de ucenici tipic provincială, susţinută cu mari greutăţi, prin efortul meseriaşilor localnici, fiind frecventată de elevii ucenici, care învăţau meseria la patroni. Nu avea corp didactic propriu, munca instructivă a fost efectuată de profesori cu ore din alte şcoli ale oraşului. Şcoala a fost frecventată mai ales de elevii din localitate şi satele învecinate, dar şi de mulţi tineri saşi, care îşi însuşeau meseria de comerciant. PROFESSION AND CRAFT SPECIALIZATION AT THE AND OF THE 19™ CENTURY. THE TRADE APPRENTICE SCHOOL IN CRISTURU-SECUIESC Abstract After 67 years of activity, the Mixed Trade Apprentice School in Cristuru-Secuiesc (Székelykeresztúr) was closed down in 1951. After the abolition, the documents were given to the Agency of Employment Distribution in Odorheiu-Secuiesc (Székelyudvarhely), which made their inventory. In 1961 these documents were entered into the evidence of the State Archives in Miercurea Ciuc (Csíkszereda). The archive material consists of school registers from 1884-1899, school catalogs from 1899-1916, 1923-24 and 1940-1951. A big part of the school’s material represented by the several official letters, minutes and accounting records have remained in the possession of the Molnár István Museum founded in 1946, where they remained to this day. This study based on this archive material, examines the operation without interruption of the school from its creation in 1884 until 1899. It was a typical provincial apprentice school, supported with great difficulty through the efforts of local craftsmen, where apprentice students attended, who learned the trade from employers. It didn’t have its own teaching staff, the instructive work was carried out with teachers from other schools of the city. Besides the majority of local students and the surrounding villages, in this school also many young Saxons, who acquired the job of the merchant, have studied. 460
