Norbert „PRO FESTO CORPORIS CHRISTI”- EUCHARISZTIA-VITA (1727) ÉS ÚRNAPI JÁTÉK CSÍKSOMLYÓN Abstract: [„Pro Festo Corporis Christi” - Eucharist-debate (1727) and play on the Lord’s Day in Csíksomlyó] The topic of the Eucharist has two occurrences in the Franciscan scholastic iridescence of the 18th century. On the one hand, it can be found at the end of a passion-play written for the feast of Good Friday - presented in 1727 - that is full of allegorical figures, most significantly of angels, and on the other hand, it occurs in a separate play written for Lord’s Day (Pro Festo Corporis Christi). The debate performed in 1727 proves Christ’s real presence in the Eucharist on the basis of prefigures taken from the Old Testament, as well as of items from the Gospel, and epistles. The debate consisting of four stages might have been performed on occasions other than the one following Christ’s passion on Good Friday. We suspect this to have happened on the Last Supper-recalling Maundy Thursday, or on Lord’s Day. The rather brief play, Pro Festo Corporis Christi, also consists of four acts (Statio 1-4), in which angels introduce the Catholic doctrines of the Eucharist, the prefigures of the Old Testament as well as their verifications from the New Testament, and praise the Lord, who appears on the altar in the form of bread, with compelling and touching words. We even stumble upon an instance of literal borrowing. There are three stanzas in the discourse from 1727 and the play written for Lord’s Day that are literally the same. The discussed plays from Csíksomlyó (Hung.; - Rom.: Şumuleu-Ciuc), similarly to some contemporary Jesuite and Piarist plays written for the Lord’s Day, enumerate prefigures taken from the Old Testament and the epistles, but besides this they also contain other anticipating images that lack from recent scholastic iridescence. Similarities between plays on the discussed topic performed in Csíksomlyó and contemporary plays presented in schools of other ecclesiastical orders (e.g.: Filius Prodigus dramas, Jesu Fily Mariae) merely appear on the level of motives, and are not of philological nature. It should be noted that the majority of [hays written for Lord’s Day were performed by the Jesuits and Piarists in the course of the 17 , and beginning of the 18“ century. With the help of Csíksomlyó the life of a tradition was prolonged: Franciscan monks of the famous sacred place of pilgrimage performed the so-called EucharisLdiscourse in 1727, and the plays for Lord’s Day some time in the 18th century. (Translated by Veronika Szelíd) Rezumat: [„Pro Festo Corporis Christi” - Dezbaterea Impărtăşeniei (1727) şi reprezentaţii de Ziua Domnului la Şumuleu-Ciuc] Problema împărtăşaniei apare de două ori în istoria reprezentaţiilor teatrale ale şcolii franciscane în secolul al 18-lea: la sfârşitul piesei prezentate de vinerea mare în anul 1727 găsim un fragment dramatic cu personaje alegorice, mai ales îngeri, respectiv altul într-o piesă prezentată de Ziua Domnului (Pro Festo Corporis Christi). Fragmentul prezentat în 1727 justifică prezenţa reală a lui Isus Hristos în Euharistie utilizând imagini din Vechiul Testament, fragmente evanghelice şi din scrisori apostolice. Această dezbatere structurată pe patru staţiuni a fost prezentată, cel mai probabil, nu de vinerea mare ci în seara dedicată cinei de taină din joia mare, sau chiar de ziua domnului.
