A CSÍKI SZÉKELY MÚZEUM ÉVKÖNYVE 2007-2008 131-168 JÁNÓ MIHÁLY A CSÍKMENASÁGI RÓMAI KATOLIKUS TEMPLOM FALKÉPEINEK KUTATÁSTÖRTÉNETE Abstract: [Researches on frescoes of the Roman Catholic church from Armäseni (Rom.; Hung.: Csíkménaság)] The frescoes from the 17 th century of the sacrarium of the medieval church titled the Immaculate Conception from Csíkménaság were already mentioned in the visitation journals of the bishops, registered at the beginning of the 19 th century. Their first detailed description dates from 1853, from the historian, archivist Károly BENKŐ. The drawing and photo documentation of the installation and frescoes of the church was drawn up by József HUSZKA in 1889. This documentation, which is published in the 1 st annex of the study, is kept in the collection of the Ethnographic Museum and National Office of Cultural Heritage from Budapest. The frescoes were repainted in 1928. They drew up then a detailed written report about that, which we commend to the specialists' attention, who are carrying out the restoration works that are in progress these days (2 nd annex). The art history researches of the building and inner ornamentation of the church is in progress today too, which can be completed with the 3 rd annex. Prima lor descriere detaliatä provine din anul 1853 de la istoricul, arhivistul BENKÖ Károly. Documentatia de desen §i fotografii a instalatiei si frescelor bisericii a fost întoemita de HUSZKA József în 1889. Aceastâ documentatie, care este publicatä în anexa nr. 1 a studiului este pästratä în colectiile Muzeului Etnografic si aie Oficiului Protectiei Mostenirii Culturale din Budapesta. Frescele au fost repictate în 1928.
