It has been one of the favourite targets of Hungarian capital for years. This study analyses the processes that have led to this situation, considering both geographical and time aspects. In addition, correlation analysis is used to identify which factor has influenced the capital flow the most extensively. Either the number or the volume of the investments is considered, the conclusion is the same: distance from the border and the ratio of the Hungarian population are the key factors that influence the distribution of capital. However, enterprises of other nations may also invest in regions where the Hungarian population is high. Therefore, the relation between the ratio of the Hungarian population and the ratio of the number (volume) of Hungarian investments must be also investigated, which will undoubtedly reveal the strong connection between the distribution of Hungarian capital and the distribution of Hungarian population. Rezumat: [Capitalul maghiar în Romania] Investitiile în Romania, în special în Transilvania devin din ce în ce mai populäre pentru interprinzätorii maghiari. Este una din cea mai cäutatä regiune pentru capitalul maghiar. Studiul analizeazä din aspectul geografic si timp, procesul în urma cäruia s-a ajuns la aceastä situatie. Aditional analiza de corelatie este folositä pentru identificarea factorilor, care au influentat cel mai mult investitiile de capital. Analizând numärul sau volumul de investitii ajungem la aceeasi concluzie: distanta de la granitä si rata populatiei maghiare sunt factorü cei mai importanti în distributia capitalului. Ar trebui analizatä si relatia dintre rata populatiei maghiare si volumul investitiilor din Ungaria, care indicä o legäturä strânsa între cele doua.
