As monument protection is not an independent discipline, the authenticity of reconstruction should be measure by the ethical and scientific points of art history. There are no independent rules, as each monument is individual and irreplaceable. The valuation of reconstruction could similarly always be applied for the different cases and authenticity should be the most important point as well.
