Häuser sollen dagegen den Wohlstand ihrer Besitzer verraten. Der unterschiedliche Zustand der Häuser bietet einen störenden Kontrast. Den Bewohnern fällt der in letzten Jahren stärker gewordene Verkehr zur Last. Die soziologischen, Wohn- und Umbauuntersuchungen zeigen Tendenzen, die auf weitere Veränderungen und Vorgänge folgern lassen. Das Verhältnis der Bewohner zu ihren Wohnungen, sowie die Ansprüche ändern sich laufend. Napraforgö-Gasse wird solang als Einheit weiterleben, bis zwischen den Ansprüchen und den durch die Wohnungen gebotenen Möglichkeiten der Einklang besteht. Anetta PIZÁG LIFE IN NAPRAFORGÓ STREET (1931-?) The subject of the study is the past and present of the housing estate in Napraforgó street built in 1931. No research has been made on the subject until now, although Bauhaus was searching for the answer to problems still existing. The study is dealing with the buildings and their rebuilding, and is trying to find solutions to make a modern use the characteristics of the architecture of the 30's. The semi-detached houses were planned by different architects. They are usually two-storeyed, partly with cellars. Their style is heterogeneous, as the building program was started with the purpose of creating a kind of model for the housing estates. In the surroundings of Pasarét these houses were built for middle-class families with the newest technical and constructional solutions. Some of the problems were manifested following the building but many of them were arising only years later. Certain technical and architectural solutions are even today debated. Modern architectural principles were followed however. More than sixty years have passed and the apartments and their inhabitants have changed a lot. The original inhabitants were from the middle-classes, while the majority of the present owners is pensioners and the street has much less inhabitants now. Different changes were made on the buildings influencing the character of the street. The owners do not have enough money to make a reconstruction, so the state of the buildings is getting worse. The investigated tendencies of the housing estate showed the direction of the changes and the task of monument protection.
