MŰHELY - V. Győrfy Ilona-Vajda József: Műemlékek felmérése. A fotogrammetria építészeti alkalmazásának fejlődése – IMSev mérési technologia – gyakorlati eredmények

The idea of photogrammetry was introduced by a German architect, Albrecht Meydenbauer, who had made the first survey in 1867. At the beginning of the 20th century new methods were also introduced: stereo photogrammetry and rectification. There was no interest toward these methods till the end of World War II. The first impetus was the concept of Venetian Chart in 1964. The International Council of architectural Photogrammetry (CIPA) was founded in 1970. Its activity covers publishing, organising conferences and meetings. There are three main possibilities of using architectural photogrammetry: simple architectural photogrammetrical surveys, precise architectural photogrammetrical surveys and very precise photogrammetrical surveys (often used in the survey of finely carved elements, archaeological objects or works of art. The basic condition of monument protection is correct documentation. Following years of studies, conferences and connections with colleagues working on the same method, a complex measurement method called IMS (Integrated Measuring System) was developed by us. With its help the basic documentation can easily be made. The method is an interactive measurement and processing system integrating different photogrammétrie surveys. In the period between 1989-1995 the IMS method was tested on monuments of different periods and styles. The results were represented by an exhibition organised in the OMVH building between 10th March, 1995-12th April, 1995. The development has increased since then. Practical results are shown in the study with a few surveys, like the following: Ják monastery, western porch, Fertőd, Esterházy castle, Buda-Nyék, the ruins of the royal villa, Fúzér, Gothic chapel of the fortress, Zsámbék church, survey of the towers, Ráckeve, Orthodox church, Szikszó, Protestant church, Wien, Schwertgasse 3., Angkor, Preah-ko project.
