Koppány Tibor: A Balaton környékének műemlékei (Művészettörténet - műemlékvédelem 3 Országos Műemlékvédelmi Hivatal, 1993)
Angol nyelvű összefoglaló
At the tum of the 20th century the architecture of the lake district was developing in the secession style; numerous boarding-houses, hotels, public buildings were erected. In 1903 the Fonyod-Bélatelep hotel was built according to the plans of József Fischer, in 1905 the Balatonföld vár Club according to the plans of Rezső Ray, in 1909 the Horváth hotel in Siófok according to the plans of Jenő Lechner, and in 1914 the Peitsik-house in Balatonvilágos according to the plans of Béla Peitsik. Remarkable monuments of the era include the Veszprém theatre and museum built in 1907-1908, the works of István Medgyaszay, where Hungarian secession successfully blends with Hungarian folk art. The architecture of the period between the two world wars also left its marks on the Balaton region. The enumeration of these relics doesn't belong to the current presentation of the lake district monuments. The only building that even now is looked upon as a national monument of the era is the church erected in Balatonboglár by Technical University professor Iván Kotsis in 1932, and it is a remarkable monument of the Bauhaus style.
