Last but not least, the timeliness of excavation is also to be weighed, since while all non-excavated parts may be still examined any time in the future, hasty interventions may well lead to irreparable losses. No excavation work should be started, therefore, if any of the personnel or of the material requisites necessary to uncovering, conservation and restoraiton are missing."
