is kept in a tempered room and from time to time it is essential to disinfect it. The main ravager of the dry insects are the museum beetles. Their grubs develop in dead specimens of plants and animals. The damage can be prevented with insecticides placed in the specimen cases and the periodical fumigation of the room. Of course, only a small part of the collection preserved in the museum can be seen in the exhibition, where we give an inkling of the insect fauna of the mountain according to the habitats. Entering the permanent exhibition, on the right side of the floor the representatives of the insect fauna attract the visitors' attention. To begin with, we get an insight into the whorl of the beech and oakwoods, then we can have a closer look at some species of insects living in bogmoss sudd and the Osfenyves at Fenyőfő. In the cave of the big hall we can see some cave-dwelling species of insects. The short brochure of the exhibition in English and German can be purchased in the museum shop.
