Summary Data to the Orthoptera (Ensifera, Caelifera) fauna of the Transdanubian Mountains I. - Discovering the Tettigonia caudata species must be highlighted from the results. In June 2000 a population with several hundred individuals of the protected, red book species was found in the subatlantic weedy vegetation of the arable land near the village of Lókút. The special habitat selection of the animal, its fragmented occurrences and forcing back of its once numerous and robustious domestic population raises several interesting questions in the fields of conservation ecology and especially of agro-biodiversity conservation. The Platycleis montana is also a new species to the Bakony region, enriching the numbers of unique values of the sandy steppe appearing in fragments in the native pine forest at Fenyőfő (Osfenyves). Several new occurrences of Rhacocleis germanica - which has outstanding importance from Zoogeographie point of view - could be found. While all previous and the recent Bakony occurrences of it are connected to the Balaton-Uplands, this species seems to be a character species of the plant associations of the Balaton-Uplands. Unfortunately previously noted occurrences of several valuable species (Isophya modesta, Psophus stridulus, Oedaleus decorus, Acrotylus longipes) could not be confirmed.
