Summary The basic floristical works about some of the individual parts of the Bakony Mountains used in a natural-geographic sense were published in the first half of this century ((Borbás 1900; Pillitz 1908, 1910; Polgár 1912, 1941; Rédl 1942). Following this period the data was published only in a smaller publications. Numerous new data can be found in the herbarium of the Natural History Museum of Bakony Mountains. The first part of the planned series dealing with the Pteridophyten issues 33 data of 15 species thus enriching our image of the flora of the mountains.
