Tel.:99 12-562 Registration number: 6-.......................,'1983 We have the honour to inform you that in 1983 the Society for Propagá­lj lion of Popular Science, together with the National Board for Éhviron-. - mental Protection and Nature Conservancy as well as with the Univer­­. sity of Forestry and Timber Industry, will organize the Sopron Univer­sity Holiday Course for the 27th time. „Biosphere Preserves in Hungary” is the subject to be dealt with at the Holiday Course. The work of the German section wiU last from 11th to 23rd July. Lectures will be held at the University of Forestry and Timber Industry. (Sopron, Bajcsy-Zsilinszky u. 4.) Besides demonstrating the biosphere preserves of Hungary on scien­tific level, the aim of the Holiday Course is to make its participants acquaintéd with the centuries-old culture of Sopron as well as with the vork and the results of the present research institutes of the town, and with the nature conservation areas of the county Győr-Sopron. We hope that our course will be attended not only by experts of mvironmental protection and nature conservancy but also by visitors of any other profession who are conscious of mankind’s joint responsibility (or saving and protecting nature, and want to get acquainted with Hun­gry. i Within the compass of the Holiday Course several excursions, lightseeing tours and visits to museums are going to be arranged; plenty if leisure time, however, will be provided for recreation, relaxation and ntertainment, too. • According to demand, participation in various cultural programs (con­­srts, cinema shows, performances at.the Grotto Theatre of Fertőrákos tc.) and several kinds of sports activities will be organized by the ecretariat of the Holiday Course. I We desire that our Course should be attended by a great number : visitors whom we want to render interesting personal experiences as ell as some valuable and useful knowledge on environmental protection nd nature conservancy.
