aristocracy in the coronation procession, in the church and during the banquet. The two Italian newsletters showed the coronation in Sopron as a courtly ceremony. It must have been the influence of Eleonora Gonzaga, who experienced the most up to date courtly culture of Italy. The printed newsletters in 1625 already reported on the Sopron diet in a completly different way. In the year of 1625 these newsletters published their news already not only after the event, but also in ’real time’, the information were published even before most important decisions, e.g. the importance of the election of the palatine Miklós Esterházy. The Habsburg court observed these information, because the control of the weekly newspapers was the duty of the Jesuit University in Vienna. The weekly newspapers were published yet in the year of 1625 with the reports on the coronation on 8th December. These news emphasized the presence of the foreign ambasadors. Wilhelm Peter Zimermann in Augsburg also published a broadsheet on the coronation. Zimermann’s workshop was a well known publisher of news in connection with Hungarian Kingdom, he printed numerous illustrated publications on the wars and political affairs between 1589 and 1630.
