of the people turned against the documents related to ingatherings and the councils, and they were usually burnt in front of the council- houses. In 1957 efforts were made to find out how many documents were destroyed that way and where. Among the documents of the Somogy County Archives there can be found a report to the LOK under the number 95/1957, in which the district reports related to the above subject are summarized. In the above mentioned file there is a hand-written list about the destruction of the documents, but some of its data are different from the ones contained in the reports. The author presents the letter-perfect texts of these two documents.

VONYÓ, ANITA: THE HISTORY OF THE SZENTGÁLOSKÉR CO-OPERATIVE FARM FROM THE BEGINNINGS TO THE CHANGE OF REGIME (1951-1992)

There are few economic organizations that determined the life of the villages to the extent the cooperatives did. In the nearly two decades following the change of regime their judgement has often raised extreme manifestations. This study presents the history of the co-operative of Szentgáloskér, whose operation was not free of difficulties, from its foundation to the start of an enterprising farming based on real private property. Despite the initial repugnance, the co-operative had always played an outstanding role in the village, and today its legal successor, Agrária Zrt. is also a determinant economic factor in the life of Szentgáloskér.

In Szentgáloskér the type III „Táncsics Mihály” Co-operative group was formed in 1951, which disintegrated in 1956. In 1959 the re-organization of the co-operative started, with the name „Zöldmező” (Green Field) Agricultural Co-operative Farm. In 1967 the „Zöldmező” Agricultural Co-operative of Szentgáloskér, the „Kossuth” Agricultural Co-operative of Somodor, the „Első Ötéves Terv” (First Five-Year Plan) Agricultural Co-operative of Répáspuszta founded the „IX. Pártkongresszus” (9th Party Congress) Agricultural Co-operative with Szentgáloskér as its seat. From 1979 this economic organization operated under the name of „Béke” (Peace) Agricultural Co-operative till 1992, when the „Agrária” Agricultural Co-operative was established and progressed on the way to privatization.

HAUER, JÁNOS: RESEARCH TOPICS AND HABITS AT THE SOMOGY COUNTY ARCHIVES BETWEEN 1967 AND 1990

The author presents the research habits at the Somogy County Archives between 1967 and 1990 and within that the choice of topics by the researchers of the era and the possible causes for their choices, from a period when the archival sciences, the function of the archive were not so widely known in the broader circle of society as today. The study details the presumable aims of the archival research in the given era, the major points of interest, through which we can often obtain an answer to the social, political and economic issues of the 24 years the study covers, and also learn about our researchers’ fields of interest. At the same time it throws light on the challenges before the archival profession today, brought about by the changes in research habits, the transformation of the choice of topics and the heterogeneity of the researchers’ social composition.
