The project is a Network of Excellence joining some 80 partners throughout Europe and is funded until 2008. Its goals are to foster the integration of information technologies with research methodologies and communication of cultural heritage. EPOCH and ICC are jointly organizing a workshop in Krakow to present EPOCH initiatives, which can be beneficial to many cultural institutions- not only those who are already part of the EPOCH Network of Excellence- for instance financial support is available for activities such as training and mobility, and EPOCH can provide a forum for relevant stakeholders to feedback their perception of their needs and the situation in Central European countries. The workshop will take place at ICC in Krakow on 20 and 21 January 2006. While attendance is free, registration is required for organizational reasons. Since the number of participants is limited, early registration is recommended. A small number of scholarships covering accommodation and food in Krakow are offered by EPOCH. Scholarships will be assigned by a joint ICC-EPOCH Committee.
