Scientific work • Exhibition catalogues will have to be prepared for the displays at the Balatonszemes, the Ópusztaszer, and the Hollókő museums. • Research has to be done in old professional postal journals to prepare for the first display at the János Csonka Memorial Museum, called The Postal Car Celebrates its Centenary and the storyboard will have to be designed. • The early history of the Postal Museum (1896-1954) will be processed. • Materials have to be collected for a CD Rom being prepared to mark the 50th anniver­sary (2008) of the start of Hungarian Television. • Preparations have to be made to participate in the Sándor Légrádi Memorial Album. • The studies for the 2005 yearbook have to be written. Relations with visitors • Both museums participate in Museum Mayday and Museum Midsummer’s Night pro­grammes. • Stamp museum offers Mafitt (Hungarian Philatelic Society) presentations, student pro­grammes, and a home for young stamp collectors. • Postal Museum organizes memorial days and meetings to mark the 125-year-old Buda­pest telephone service and the 100th anniversary of telecom training (Gyáli Road). • Postal Museum auditorium hosts programmes and meetings of the Scientific Society for Telecommunications and Information Technology. • Telecom Mayday organized at Diósd facility and Midsummer Night Fire-Jumping or­ganized at Hollókő. • Official contest organized entitled Me and the 125-Year-Old Budapest Telephones. • If the roughly HUF 3 million becomes available and Budapest’s District Five shows a readiness to allow it, the Postal Museum would like to raise a memorial to Tivadar and Ferenc Puskás.
