history-of-technology and archival research. The Hungarian and English catalogue for the exhibit was ready for the opening of the display. Preparing the storyboard for a Postal Museum exhibit called 100 Years of Postal Packages required collecting all the rules governing postal package transport over the years, together with impact studies of package acceptance, postal handling, transport, and delivery. The Postal Museum at Balatonszemes offered a new permanent exhibit called From the Postal Wagon to the Post Office Truck, which presents all the carriages and motorized vehicles used in postal transport through to today. One part of archival work at the Postal Museum included exploring artefacts and documents that had once been stored in the old postal museum, but now had to be researched at the Hungarian National Archives and the Museum of Transport. Sixteen studies reporting on the result of museum research are included in the Foundation Yearbook. Visitor relations and programmes The most significant relationship the Foundation and its museums has with its visitors is based on visits to the museums. In 2005, the number of registered visitors was 91 981. Comments in the guest book suggest that many of our visitors consider the Postal Museum to be Hungary’s most valuable small museum.
