Postamúzeum - „Világ postasétányˮ nemzetközi pályázat

In the city-district of Budapest well frequented by tourists we would like to set up the World Post Esplanade in 1995 with special regard to the World Expo Budapest in 1996 as an open air museal exhibition and tuorist sight. On the indicated area, post boxes of the 184 UPU (Union Postale Universale) member countries will be set up on uniform frames in sequentes of the French ABC. Boards on frames will keep prome- naders informed about main geographical data of a.m. countries the caractcriclics of their postal organisation, their first and lodayuscd postshieldc and uniforms together with their main mail statistics. Post boxes would empty of noontime by postman having on contemporary uniform and arriving d.c. driven oldsmobil of the thirties of the Hungarian post. They invitative leaflets and current themes of Hungarian tourist organisation to the audience. At the end of World Post Esplanade, a specially sized post box would be set up with the title written in languages of the 184 countries „Hungary in tourists’view" where the experi­ences minds pleasures/or irritation of the visitors or could be collected. This collec­tion should be issued yearly both in original languages and Hungarian translation in common publisting of the Foundation of the Postal and Telecommunication Museum and Assotialion of Hungarian Tourist Offices. 22, July, 1991. Budapest Tourism and Museums - Internationa competition World Posta Esplanade Budapest, the 22 of July 91 LETTER OF INTENT The Assotialion of Hungarian Tourist Offices will sponsor the project of World Post Esplanade and agress with the Foundation of the Postal and Telecommunation Museum (the sponsor of the Postal Museum) in its realisation. The Assotialion of Hungarian Tourist Offices will bear all the costs of the project in fifty-fifty percent to­gether with the Foundation of the Postal and Telecommunication Museum.
