The author introduces the organizational structure of the Postal Savings Bank (its 4 groups and 14 departmens), its personnel, the conditions of their employment and the technical means necessary for the activity. (The number of the employes was 38 in 1886, 1070 in 1927 and 1800 in 1918.)

The arbitrary termination of the Postal Savings Bank in 1948 meant the elimination of a useful and practical establishmnet from the Hungarian financial world.
