History of the Hungarian Radio Studio between 1928 and 1948 The author begins the history with the ceremonial inauguration of the Hungarian Radio Studio at Sándor street. He describes the studios, their technical equipment, mentioning the activity of the Post Office experts developing the acoustical layout. Simultaneously with the extension of the program-time, works began to enlarge the Studio, by implementing new broadcast studios. In his study the author describes also the history of appearance of audio-recording equip­ment. Mention has been made also about the war-time in the life of Studio, its ruination and beginning of reconstruction. Besides the restoring works the author deals with the use of lacquer disk recorders, then of the first studio magnetic recorders which opened a new period in the history of broadcast studios. 30
