hegemonic and totalitarian environment. Because of this, we have the tendency or returning to the Holy Scripture for defining freedom, and the Holy Scripture asserts plainly the correlation between freedom and truth, the truth being a who and not a what: “And you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free” (John, 8: 32). From this point of view, the religious freedom/tolerance is the act or the state of taking part consciously to the truth and to the transcendental characteristics of this. The religious freedom/tolerance reflects, in the petitions made up by Romanians, exactly this state of fact: the conscious/lucid participation to the truth, in the incarnated Christ, gives the necessary strength for realizing the personal religious freedom and the religious freedom of the other. Beyond this signification, 1 do not believe that we can talk about a true religious freedom/tolerance, but only about an ethical social project in which the main character is the lex mundi and not “the Incarnated Law” - Christ. Or, the secular law causes states and languages which belong only fragmentary to the sphere of truth and to the one of the religious freedom/tolerance. Pr.
