posterior processes); remaining 12-13 hooks on posterior part of proboscis, with reduced roots, spiniform. Dimensions of hooks (blade x root): I, 0.0525-0.055 x -; II, 0.06250.0675 x 0.045; III, 0.060-0.065 x 0.0525; IV, 0.0525-0.055 x 0.0525; V, 0.045-0.0525 x 0.055; VI, 0.045-0.050 x 0.055; VII, 0.040-0.0475 x 0.025-0.030; VIII, 0.0425 x 0.0255; IX-XIII, 0.0325-0.035 x -; XIX-XX, 0.040 x -. Neck short, cylindrical, 0.050 long and 0.450 wide. Proboscis receptacle double-walled, cylindrical, attached at level of constriction of proboscis, 1.40 long and 0.30 wide. Lemnisci 2.10 long. Testes elongate-oval, situated in tandem, slightly overlapping one another; measure 0.82-0.90 x 0.44-0.45. Cement glands 3 in number, 12.60 long, one of them beginning slightly more anteriorly, immediately behind second testis. Ducts of cement glands 3.0 long. Genital bursa 2.25 long. Remarks: The comparison of the morphometrical data of our specimen with the other descriptions (Meyer 1932/1933, Petrochenko 1958, Ward 1964, Nelson and Ward 1966) showed no significant differences between them. Only the blades of anterior hooks (II—III) in our specimen were longer (0.0675) while the maximum reported size for the species was 0.060 (Ward 1964, Nelson and Ward 1966). This is the first record of C globocau- Fi& 2 . Centrorhynchus globœaudatus datus in Hungary. In addition, Falcocherrug (Zeder, 1800), male, proboscis, is a new host record for this species. Scale-bar: 0.2 mm. Sphaerirostris Golvan, 1956 Sphaerirostris picae (Rudolphi, 1819) Golvan, 1960 Syn. Sphaerirostris teres (Westrumb, 1821) Specimens studied: Pica pica - No 2007 (1 female); No 2009 (5 females), Csornád, November 1967. Description of female (Fig 3. ): (based on specimens from Pica pica, No 2009). Total length 5.25-18.0. Trunk elongate, fiisiform, 4.5-17.25 long maximum width 1.38-2.76 at anterior third of trunk. Transverse vessels of lacunar system form dense reticulum of irregular polygons. Proboscis 0.638-0.750 long divided into two parts by constriction: anterior part almost spherical, 0.438-0.500 long and 0.400-0.450 wide; posterior part 0.080-0.260 long with maximum width 0.360-0.513 and width at level of constriction 0.319-0.360. Proboscis armament consists of 36 (34) longitudinal rows, 12 (13) hooks in each row: 9 (8) of them on anterior part of proboscis; anterior 5 hooks longest, with roots directed posteriorly, next
