0.090 mm in size in the midline of the proglottis. The Mehlis gland is 0.038 to 0.045 mm in diameter. The vitelline gland is 0.900 mm in width, triangular shaped, and situated at the posterior part of the proglottis. The uterus begins before the vagina in the midline and has 6 to 8 lateral branches. The eggs are oval, 0.039 to 0.047 mm in diameter. The oncosphere measures 0.040 x 0.030 mm and the embryonal hooks are 0.006 to 0.0075 mm long. Differential diagnosis of Taenia kotlani sp. n. T. kotlani sp. n. metacestodes Intermediate host: Siberian ibex (Capra ibex sibirica), Mongolia. Definitive host unknown. Location in the intermediate host is the lungs, under the visceral pleura. Diameter of Cysticercus ranges from 5x6 to 7x14 mm. Number of the rostellar hooks: 31 to 36 (mean 33). Measurements of the hooks: first row 0.187 to 0.218 mm (mean 0.201), second row 0.118 to 0.143 mm (mean 0.132), guard of the small hooks is bifid, 0.032 to 0.037 mm wide (see description of T. kotlani sp. n. for additional review).
