known from a single locality in the Mecsek Mts (MAHUNKA and MOLNOS, 1962). In neighbouring mountain ranges (the Alps, the Carpathians) it is a common parasite of C. glareolus. 25. Laelaps jettmari Vitzthum, 1930 Localities: Kisbalaton, Kishuta, Vörs. - Hosts: A. flavicollis, A. agrárius. A mite species closely attached to one host species - Apodemus agrárius. Although this rodent has been found in several localities in Hungary (HÄITLINGER , 1979)", L. jettmari has not yet been documented from this rodent species. 26. Laelaps micromydis Zachvatkin, 1948 Locality: Kisbalaton. - Host: M. minutus. Another mite species with restricted host specialization. It has not been documented in Hungary so far, therefore we consider it a new element for the fauna of Hungary. 27. Hyperlaelaps microti (Ewing, 1933) Localities: Kisrét, Kisbalaton, Kishuta, Mátraalmás, Szalafő, Vörs. - Hosts: A. terrestris, C. glareolus, M. oeconomus, M. agrestis, M. arvalis. A mite species parasitising rodents from the family Microtidae. Its occurrence in Hungary has been documented by several authors. 28. Myonyssus rossicus Bregetova, 1956 Localities: Kishuta, Stájerházak, Királyháza, Mátraalmás. - Hosts: A. flavicollis, C. glareolus. The genus Myonys sus in Hungary is represented by two so far discovered species: M. rossicus and M. gigas. The species M. ingricus, common to montane areas of the West Carpathian Mts has not been documented here. 29. Eulaelaps stabularis (C. L. Koch, 1836) Localities: Kisbalaton, Kishuta Stájerházak, Királyháza, Mátraalmás, Szár, Szalafő, Kondorfa, Vörs. - Host: T. europa^a, S. minutus, S. araneus, N. anomalus, N. fo diens, C. leucodon, A. sylvaticus, A. flavicollis, A. agrárius, M. musculus, C. glareolus, P. subterraneus, M. agrestis, M. arvalis. One of the most common mite species on small rodents and insectivores. The present research has confirmed its occurrence in further localities in Hungary. 30. Haemogamasus horridus Michael, 1892 .Localities: Királyháza, Mátraalmás, Szalafő. - Hosts: T. europaea, S. araneus, N. fodiens, A. flavicollis. A typical representative of the acarofauna of small mammals and their nests. In Hungary known so far from only a'few localities (HAITLINGER, 1979; MAHUNKA and MOLNOS, 1962). 31. Haemogamasus nidi Michael, 1892 Localities: Diássziget, Kishuta, Stájerházak, Királyháza, Mátraalmás, Szár, Szalafő, Kondorfa, Vörs. - Hosts : T. europaea, S^araneus, N. fodiens, M. avellanarius, A. sylvaticus, A. flavicollis, Á". agrárius, C. glareolus, P. subterraneus, M. agrestis, M. arvalis. A common blood-sucking mite species occurring regularly in the fur and nests of small mammals. In Hungary documented in many localities. 32. Haemogamasus hirsutus Berlese, 1889 Localities: Diásszi^et, Stájerházak, Királyháza, Mátraalmás, Kisbalaton, Vors.- Hosts: S. araneus, N. anomalus, N. fodiens, A. flavicollis, A. agrárius, C. glareolus.
