Inbred mice are as susceptible to T. equiperdum as conventional mice are (see Fig. 3). Voles (Mi^cj-otusjirvalis^however, survived the inoculation. In all mice succumbed to infection, the spleen underwent a 2- to 5-fold enlargement. The voles proved to be resistant, therefore they will be dealt with in another article. As regards the sex-related difference in susceptibility, no difference was found between males and non-pregnant young females.
