Flukes 90-120 days old lay the greatest number of eggs (3-4500/EPG), the extended uterus is full of eggs and all parts of the genital organs have the largest size. At an age of 147-days, the number of eggs in the uterus gradually decreases, the ovary, the testes and the Mehlis glands are shrunken (Fig. 3). The structure of the genital organs does not change considerably but becomes smaller, especially the width of the flukes.
