Dr. Murai Éva szerk.: Parasitologia Hungarica 15. (Budapest, 1983)
PREFACE In the 14 volumes of Parasitologia Hungarica so far published, a large amount of new information has been accumulated from extremely wide areas of theoretical and practical parasitology, including also the marginal fields of our science. It was the editorial policy of our journal to also include besides the publications of original papers, through a "References" section, information on parasitological publications of Hungarian authors which appeared between January 1968 and March 1977 elsewhere than in Parasitologia Hungarica, It is the aim of the present special Cumulative Index Volume to facilitate the readers' orientation in the abundant literature published in the previous 14 volumes of Parasitologia Hungarica. The first part of that volume presents the titles of 277 original articles in the alphabetic order of the first author followed by the list of 378 reports of which only abstracts have been published in Parasitologia Hungarica. These two sections are included in the volume in both Hungarian and English. The volume comprises an author index as well as a Hungarian and an English subject index. This special issue of Parasitologia Hungarica could not have been accomplished without the enthusiastic collaboration of librarians and parasitologists. The initial phase of work was done by the Central Library of the University of Veterinary Science, Budapest. The assistance provided by Mrs. F. BAKONYI, director, Mrs. L. CSEREY, head of the Section of Bibliography and Documentation and by their coworkers is gratefully acknowledged. For the compilation of the subject index, thanks are due to Professor Tibor KOBULEJ. By her dedicated editorial work, Dr. K. Éva MURAI, editor of Parasitologia Hungarica, has also made an important contribution to this volume. It is my sincere hope that the Cumulative Index Volume will promote the utilization in and outside our country of the results obtained by Hungarian workers of parasitology. Finally, the readers' understanding is requested for the many deficiencies of this volume. Budapest, July, 1983 Dr. Tibor KASSAI President Hungarian Society of Parasitologists
