Data on Dermanyssidae (Acari) living on small mammals and birds in Hungary Dr. Éva MOLNOS Public Health, and Epidemiology Station, Budapest, Hungary "Data on Dermanyssidae (Acari) living on small mammals and birds in Hungary" - Molnos, É. - Parasit, hung. 14: 91-93. 1981-82. ABSTRACT. Five species of Dermanyssidae new to the fauna of Hungary, and locality and host data on further thirteen little-known species are presented. The following authors have published data on dermanyssids in Hungary: BALOGH (1938), BALOGH and ROSTÁS (1955), BERON (1969), HAIT LINGER (1979), MAHUNKA and MOLNOS (1962), MRCIAK (1979). Studies over recent years have revealed several new data. In this report I give new locality data for several species, and record five species new to the fauna of Hungary. They are as follows: Laelaps echidnina Berlese, 1887; Laelaps muris (Ljungh, 1799); Ondatralaelaps multispinosa (Banks, 1909); Hypoaspis aculeifer (Canestrini, 1884) and Pseudolaelaps doderoi (Berlese, 1910). The collection data of the Dermanyssidae species, apart from two cases, all from small mammal hosts are listed in the following section. COLLECTION DATA 1. Laelaps agtlis C. L.
