Syphacia frederici Roman, 1945 (Fig. 14a-c) Hosts: Apodemus flavicollis, A. sylvaticus. - Location: caecum. - Only female spe­cimens were found. At head end the lips are without contours. The well developed lateral alae from ce­phalic vesicle and almost to tail end in females. Body length 3.9-4. 1 mm, maximum width 0.13 mm. Esophagus length 0.28-0.31 mm. Nerve ring 0. 12 mm , excretory pore 0. 38 mm and vulva 0.67-0.72 mm from head end. Tail length 0.50-0.58 mm. Eggs measurements: 0. 122-0. 126 x 0. 030 mm. S. frederici is a parasite of the Apodemus species (TENORA and MÉSZÁROS, 1975). S. obvelata described by CHIRIAC and HAMAR (1966), POPESCU and BARBU (1971), PO­PESCU et al. (1974) from the Apodemus species, may well be identical to this species.
