Of hosts infested with fleas 32 harboured only 1 and 8 hosts harboured 2 flea species. The joint occurrence of the same two species ( Peromyscopsylla fallax and Megabothris turbidus ) was noted only in 2 cases. The maximum number of fleas were collected from a Clethrionomys in St. Margarethen (9 Peromyscopsylla fallax and 1 Rhadinopsylla integeUa ). Because our collections were carried out with killing traps, these data should be regarded as of informative character only. j
