Dr. Kassai Tibor - Dr. Murai Éva szerk.: Parasitologia Hungarica 7. (Budapest, 1974)

Examined material: 1 specimen ( Holotype : T-1639-74): "Sheviock, Cornwall, England, April, 1973- Leg. HEWITT, M. et al." Deposited in the Collection of Aranea, Hungarian Hatural History Museum, Budapest. Remarks : The species of the genus Daidalotarsonemus De Leon, 1956, was reviewed by ATT IAH (1970) and SMILEY (1972). Since then SUSKI (1971) and the present author (MAHUHKA ,1972) described some new taxa. Of the species relegated to the genus, only D. vandevriei Suski, 1967, was found in Europe, all other ones having been described from the tropics. The new species stands nearest to D. somalatus Attiah, 1970, but in this latter one the anterior pair of the prodorsal hairs is shorter than the posterior pair, the setae of segment C are slightly thickened, and hairs d-^ and e^ are of equal length and shape. In the new species the anterior prodorsal hair is longer than the posterior one, hair d-^ is narrow, while hair e-^ is widely phyllif orm. I dedicate the most interesting new species to its collector, Dr. M. HEWITT, Cornwall, England. Notes on the Occurrence of the New Species by Mark HEWITT and Stella TURK (Department of Dermatology, Clinical Area, Cornwall, Great Britain) HEWITT et al. (1973) showed that several species of Acari can be recovered from clothes shakings and that these species, singly or severally, can be implicated in human skin rashes, although the allergic reactions are as yet little understood. During the course of investigating a small outbreak of rashes in the village of Sheviock, Cornwall; England in April 1973, 193
