felis felis (Bouché), the housemouse-flea Leptopsylla segnis (Schönherr) and the rat-flea Nosopsyllus fasciatus (Boso). Family Hystichopsyllidae Neopsylla bidentatiformis (Wagner, 1893) 2 o 2 9 from 3 Microtus brandti. Quite common on a variety of rodents in steppes of Eastern Asia. N eopsylla pleskei orientális Ioff and Argyropulo, 1934 12o 359 from 29 Microtus brandti and 1 o from a "Barber groundtrap"; 1 o 2 9 from 3 M. brandti from the bank of the Herlen river. Obviously the commonest flea of Brandt's vole in Eastern Mongolia. The haemocoele of the abdomen and thorax (except pronotal region) of one of the females from Barun Urt is entirely filled with numerous medium-sized larvae of a parasitic Aphelenchoid nematode; there is also one nematode in each of the mid and hind coxae while another even penetrated the entire length of a mid femur (the flea's ovaries are consequently not developed and the spermatheca is reduced in size). This is the first record of the occurrence of these internal parasites of fleas in Mongolia. Family Ceratophyllidae Citellophilus tesquorum sungaris (Jordan, 1929) 1 o from 1 Microtus brandti. The occurrence of this common parasite of Citellus spp . on a vole is accidental. Paramonopsyllus scalonae (Vovchinskaya, 1950) 10 5 11 $ from 4 Alticola roylei. This new record would seem to confirm that this is a flea of Alticola, not of Ochotona. Outside Mongolia this flea is known only from Tuva. Family Leptopsyllidae Amphipsylla primaris mitis Jordan, 1929 170
