Obviously the commonest flea of Brandt's vole in Eastern Mongolia. The haemocoele of the abdomen and thorax (except pronotal region) of one of the females from Barun Urt is entirely filled with numerous medium-sized larvae of a parasitic Aphelenchoid nematode; there is also one nematode in each of the mid and hind coxae while another even penetrated the entire length of a mid femur (the flea's ovaries are consequently not developed and the spermatheca is reduced in size).
