The parasitic nematodes of small mammals in Mongolia are rather unknown, whereas there are numerous helmintological data from the surrounding areas, mostly from the Asiatic part of the U.S. S.R. Among the Mongolian data worthy of mentioning are SCHULZ' s (194-8) Eugenuris schumakovitschi from Ochotona dauurica collected near Ulaan-Bator ,and Smirnovia gregori from Microtus brandti described by SCHULZ and ANDREEVA (1950). IVASHKIN (1954) studied the helminths of the Mongolian hares. In Lepus tolai he found Dermatoxys veligera (Rud., 1819), Miscipsella numicida (Seurat, 1917), and described Hematodirus petrovi . Prom Lepus timidus he reported Trichuris leporis (Proelich, 1789). Pam.: Heteroxynematidae Skrjabin et Shikhobalova, 1948 1.
