mimus (Ca., Ba.), P. ceylonicus (Ka.), Miniopterus schreibersi (Ma.), Rhinolophus rouxi (Ud.), Rh. lepidus (Logohad Port); Localization: small intestine. PANDE (1935b) described this fluke from India. GROSCHAPT and TENORA (1971) recorded P. loossi (Pande, 1935) from bats collected in Afghanistan, with the remark that in their opinion the features of the valid species P. loossi characterize also the species collected and published by ODENING (1968a) as P. urna from Vietnam. They substantiate the distinctness of P. loossi , drawn in by DUBOIS (i960) as a synonym (a variety) of P. urna (Looss, 1907), by the position and shape of the prostatic complex (pseudocirrus-sac ) as well as by the location of the ovary of the species originally described from bats in India differrlng from P• urna (Looss, 1907), as given by PANDE also in original description. The prostatic complex of P. urna is preacetabular, of P .loossi paraacetabular . The position of the ovary, however, is not a reliable feature to distinguish species since it is very variable and its form depends on the state of contraction of the fluke . The measurements of the suckers or other organs do not differ in the original descriptions, altough the oral and ventral suckers are somewhat smaller in P. loossi than in P. urna . The specimens of our Indian material are very heterogeneous concerning the position of the prostatic complex and the measurements of the organs. The vitellari'a are also very heterogeneous. On the basis of the above-mentioned three features, the material is divided into two parts. In the first group the prostatic complex is paraacetabular, the vitellaria are composed of few follicles and divided sharply into two groups. The oral sucker (4-0-51 x 40-54) and the ventral sucker (32-40 x 32-41/u) are smaller than those of the second group (Pigs. 10, 15). In the second group, the prostatic complex is lying dorsally of the acetabulum, the vitellaria are composed of minute follicles, joining in front of the acetabulum. The measurements of the oral sucker are 49-83 x 55-70 ja, of the ventral sucker 44-60 x 45-57 ja (Pigs. 11, 12). The integument of both groups
