Parasit. Hung. 6. 1973. Trematodes of Bats in India * Dr. István MATSKÁSI Zoological Department of the Hungarian Natural History Museum, Budapest "Trematodes of Bats in India" - Matskási, I .Parasit . Hung. 6. 77-98. 1973. In the course of helminthological investigations of 278 bat specimens representing 36 species collected in India, 22 trematode species were identified. Three new species ( Neohe- terophyes topali , Prosthodendrium robustum , Parabascus ghati ) are described. The paper submits the faunistical data of the collected trematodes and discusses some species of uncertain taxonomical status or interesting from the taxonomic and systematic points of view. In 1967, dr. Gy. TOPÁL, mammalogist of the Hungarian Natural History Museum, has been on a zoological collecting trip to India. During his collectings he preserved the digestive systems of the collected bats in alcohol, in order to further parasitological investigations. The fixed digestive systems were dissected in the Parasitological Laboratory of the Hungarian Natural History Museum. I should like to express my gratitude to Gy. TOPÁL for the material of trematodes also in this place. The present paper submits the result of systematical investigations conducted on trematodes obtained by dissection of the bat guts. The bats infected with trematodes originated from the following six districts of India: 1. Kashmir: Srinagar (Sr.) - Bumzov Cave (Bu.) The Scientific Results of Dr. Gy. TOPÁL' s Collectings in India, Part 7.
