This third edition is a considerably revised version of the second which appeared 11 years age. This lapse of time witnessed a great progress both in theoretical and practical fields of parasitology.The second edition has been translated into German (VEB G. Fischer Verlag, Jena) and Spanish (Editorial Acribia, Zaragosa). The authors made good use of the comments of reviewers in the preparation of the present volume which reflected also new trends and achievements concerning practical recognition of parasitic infections. The structure of the new book follows that of the previous edition. The General part has been complemented with the following new chapters: electron microscope, "in vitro" culture of helminths, diagnostic application of radioactive isotopes. In the Special part a new chapter is devoled to the diagnostics of parasitoses of the fish, bees and laboratory animals. The new edition is enlarged with some 150 pages and is enriched with 100 new, mostly original photographs. Autoref .
